About

I recognize myself as a Pharmaceutical-Nanobiotechnologist; that is coupled with education and training in both academia and industry as pharmacist, chemist, and biologist. I have gathered knowledge and experience from these interdisciplinary fields and utilize on designing and developing target specific therapeutic approach for various diseases such as cancer, diabetes, fibrosis, and cardiovascular (stroke and myocardial infraction) along with immunology. My research focuses on meeting the needs of a clinician that facilitate of solving or improving the existing difficulties in clinics. In brief, my research goal is to develop novel formulations for bio-applications that includes but not limited to cell specific delivery systems, noninvasive diagnosis, and image guided therapy. Over the last couple of years, I have developed different novel strategies for the synthesis and modification of semiconductor quantum dots and 2D materials (graphene and boron nitride), and characterized and investigated their feasibility as biomaterials to be used for therapeutic delivery systems and imaging. I have also designed and developed different unique yet novel biocompatible and biodegradable polymers which show promises in drug/gene delivery applications.
