About

I am a Research Associate at Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA). I am working in a project centred on Open Educational Resources for the ROER4D. I completed my Master and Bachelor in Psychology from University of Delhi. In addition, I have field training and research experiences; which were the indispensable part of M.A. Psychology. The course work, field training and research work experiences during Master period have provided many opportunities to learn and work in the areas of education and social sciences. Therefore, after completion of M.A., I have worked with Gateway Research Worldwide Organization for a year in a project titled Integrated Youth Development Project (IYDP) in which I analysed key issues related to the problems of youth. Such experiences have helped me to consolidate my understating towards psychology and developmental areas. At present, I am pursuing Ph.D. (Adult Education) from National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA). My Ph.D research focuses on Quality of Life aspect of Neo-literates. In this research work, Quality of life has been conceptualized by three major components: Empowerment, Sustainable Livelihood, and Life Skills, which have come straight from the field work. The major key variables studied in this study are rural poverty, livelihoods, and life skills and women empowerment by literacy attainment. Henceforth, I have significant experience in empirical field work based research and consequently i have drawn the insights from developmental perspective to purse my Ph.D. Certainly, it is helping me to understand the contemporary social relevance of psychology and its contribution in other disciplines. I also have good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques and data analysis. In addition; I have experience in both theoretical and practical aspects of psychology and education. I have published book reviews, chapter, articles and research studies in these areas. Not only this, I have given several presentations at National and International conferences in India as well in Overseas.
