About

Dr. Meilin Liu is the B. Mifflin Hood Chair, Regents' Professor, and Co-Director of the Center for Innovative Fuel Cell and Battery Technologies at Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2010 to 2015, he also served as Associate Director of the HeteroFoaM Center, a DOE Energy Frontier Research Center at USC. He is a member of the EU Academy of Sciences (2017) and a Fellow of the Electrochemical Society (2012 ) and the American Ceramic Society (2011). His research interests include in situ characterization and multi-scale modeling of charge and mass transfer along surfaces, across interfaces, and in membranes, thin films, and nanostructured electrodes, aiming at achieving rational design of materials and structures with unique functionalities for efficient energy storage and conversion.
