About

I study the molecular mechanisms behind bacterial urinary tract infections (UTIs), with a focus on Proteus mirabilis. I am interested in all aspects of P. mirabilis, from swarming motility to host response to infection. I'm currently researching fimbrial adhesins and transcriptional regulation mediated by proteins encoded in fimbrial operons (MrpJ and MrpJ paralogs).
