I am currently working at CERFACS as a research scientist on data-driven modeling for warning and forecasting environmental risks such as floods and wildfires, with one key idea: bridging real-time science-based analysis and early action decision making via the development of a new perception of risks using more integrated computer tools: ● increasing complexity of physical modeling ● multiple sources of measurements (satellites, airplanes, UAVs) ● uncertainty quantification tools to measure the level of uncertainties ● more advanced inverse modeling (or data-driven) algorithms to reduce uncertainties Specialties: ● Data assimilation ● Uncertainty quantification ● Statistical modelling and analysis ● Computational fluid dynamics ● Model coupling ● Numerical weather/environmental prediction ● Surface/atmosphere interaction modeling ● Surface modeling (e.g. wildfire behavior)
