Dr. Michael F. Cunningham has an extensive background in polymer science. He received a bachelor's degree in Engineering Chemistry from Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario) and his Ph.D. from the University of Waterloo. He spent six years working in the Xerox Corporate Research Group, acquiring experience in process scaleup and technology transfer to manufacturing. Currently, Dr. Cunningham is a Professor at Queen’s University in the Department of Chemical Engineering and cross-appointed to the Department of Chemistry. He has an active research program in polymer science and engineering, publishing over 165 papers and holding 26 U.S. patents. He is secretariat of the International Polymer Colloids Group, and held an Ontario Research Chair in Green Chemistry and Engineering (2010-15). He has consulted with several companies in the area of polymerization, and lectures at industrial courses in the USA and Switzerland.
