My primary interests are heat & mass transfer phenomena and their computational modeling. I work on modeling of solidification in metallic alloys in the presence of convection. The focus of my research is in multiscale modeling of the mushy zone evolution, seeking to understand, explain and predict the interactions of heat transfer, fluid flow, chemical segregations and the development of the microstructure. I am an Associate scientist (Chargé de recherche) with the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and I work in the Solidification Group at the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Science & Engineering of Institut Jean Lamour in Nancy, France.
