About

I completed my doctoral studies in Behavioral Neurosciences at the University of Veracruz in Mexico. I was investigating the connections between mating behavior and prostate physiology and cancer; which then sparked my interest in cancer immunology. I moved to Minnesota in USA and started a position as postdoctoral associate at the University of Minnesota. My project focuses on understanding the role of Neuropilin1 in T cell tolerance, and specifically in anergy induction and anergy-derived Treg cells differentiation. My career goal is to become an independent investigator whose research has a significant impact on the field of peripheral tolerance and cancer immunotherapy.
