Minseok S. Kim is a senior research engineer in Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2010 and he is working on the development of point-of-care testing and cancer diagnostic system. He received the B.S. degree in biomedical engineering from Yonsei University in 2003, the M.S. degree in Biosystems from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2006 and his Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering from KAIST in 2010. Dr. Kim is interested in cancer diagnostic systems including high-throughput anticancer drug screening system for personalized medicine, quantitative clinical platform, circulating tumor cell (CTC) detection system and multiplexed biomarker analysis, and model systems for stem cells and embryology. He got several awards including the grand award for young pasteurian award and the gold prize winner supported by the 16th Samsung Human Tech Paper Competition in 2010. He is an associate member in American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) from 2009.
