Reza was born in Selangor in 1980, a neighbouring state to the capital city of Malaysia; Kuala Lumpur. Reza earned his first degree from International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) in Gombak with Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2004. Then pursuing a postgraduate study at University of Sheffield in UK; where he was awarded with a Masters in Landscape Studies in 2009. Reza is currently a full time PhD student under School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University. Reza is in the stage of writing up the thesis which is expect to due for submission in March 2013. His research centres on sustainable development, urban sprawl in Southeast Asian cities, as well as burial practices and graves memorialisation within Muslim communities.
