About

Organic electronic devices are expected to be the next generation devices that can be fabricated using simple, low-temperature, solution based processes. On the one hand, a nearly unlimited variety of molecules are available by chemical synthesis leading to a broad spectrum of applications. On the other hand, the possibility to manufacture organic electronic products at very low costs combined with the availability of flexible substrates opens niches which are not occupied by silicon-based electronics. My prime area of research interest is the study of physics of organic semiconductors, thin film growth of organic materials, films structural analysis and its device applications, device physics and engineering of organic field effect transistors (OFETs), organic photovoltaic (OPVs) and organic light emitting diodes (OLED). Ambipolar transport in FETs and light emitting FETs are areas where I have interesting research plans, including, characterization and evaluation of alternative materials for electronic devices, novel device and integrated circuits fabrication techniques, doping organic films, self-assembly of organic molecules and organic-organic hetero epitaxy, which opens a number of opportunities for collaborations and training of new researchers.
