About

Experienced environmental and research scientist, with specialty in biotechnology, bioremediation and contaminated sites. I have a keen interest in environmental science, completing undergraduate and postgraduate studies relating to the use of microorganisms for bioremediation and the treatment of industry wastes. My interests include remediation, contaminated water and sites, water reuse and wastewater treatment in an industrial setting. I am currently working in the areas of recovery of metals from secondary sources (e.g. e-waste, batteries and waste waters), mining in saline environments, biologically mediated remediation of arsenic and hydrocarbon contamination, organic waste treatment in the alumina industry and sustainability in mining, industry and waste processes.
