I graduated from Jimma University with a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering and I joined the teaching community at the same university and worked at positions of Graduate Assistant-II and Assistant Lecturer, one year each.
I then joined a graduate school in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where I studied Computer Engineering for three years, which earned me a masters degree. I wrote a thesis titled "Security Enhancement of MANETs Routing Protocols".
After graduation from Addis Ababa University, I joined back Jimma University and served as a lecturer in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, for nearly two years.
Since April 2009, I am working at different companies on a contractual and full-time basis. I am involved in different activities including (but not limited to) training and consulting, systems installation and troubleshooting, systems development, and research.
My research interests include, but not limited to:
o Software Engineering and Analysis
o Distributed Systems
o Mobile/Pervasive computing
o Energy Efficient and Secure Cloud Computing
o Wireless Ad-hoc networks: Power Management, Algorithms and Protocols
o Network Technologies, Services and Applications
I will be very much interested to meet and work together with people with similar areas of research interests.
