About

My research focuses on reasoning styles, reasoning education, wellbeing, and willpower. I approach these topics from both the armchair and the lab. I am particularly interested in how we can improve reasoning, how differences in reasoning lead to desirable (or undesirable) outcomes, and the relationship between reasoning and willpower — if there is one. In my free time, I date my partner, exercise, hike, travel, watch stand-up comedy, make stuff, and go to bed early. For more: www.byrdnick.com
