Nicola Tarque is a Civil Engineer from the "San Luis Gonzaga" University of Ica (Peru) and lecturer of the Division of Civil Engineering at the Catholic University of Peru (PUCP, He obtained the Master degree in Civil Engineering at the PUCP (2005) and the Master degree in Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology at the Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia, Italy (2008). Right now he is following a PhD program in Earthquake Engineering at the ROSE School (Pavia, Italy, Nicola has been involved in projects related to masonry and earthen dwellings and he has been in charge of dynamic test of full-scale adobe houses at the PUCP. His last thesis deal with the displacement-based seismic risk assessment of adobe dwellings and can be download from
