About

Norifumi Yamamoto is Research Assistant Professor at the Nagoya University, where he works in the Graduate School of Information Science. He received his Ph. D. degree in Science for Physical Chemistry from Kyusyu University. He carries out research in the areas of computational biophysics, molecular simulation, and theoretical chemistry. The current focus of his work is the informatics theory for materials on molecules and molecular assembly. In recent years, he has studied molecular mechanisms of conformational diseases related to protein misfolding using various computational physicochemical approaches (e.g., all atom molecular dynamics simulations, ab initio quantum chemistry calculations, and coarse-grained models).
