Research interests

seagrass meadows and coral reefs.such as unvegetated mudflatsThe study of biotic interactions and food web dynamics of benthic marine communities

I am an independent researcher graduated as biologist at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). I obtained a master degree in Biological Oceanography from the Fundaçao Universidade do Rio Grande (FURG), Brazil. At FURG I studied the feeding behavior of a prawn to assess the feasibility of rearing it in low cost pen systems in subtidal unvegetated flats of Lagoa dos Patos (Rio Grande do Sul). Afterwards, I obtained a doctorate in Marine Ecology at CICESE (Mexico). where I faced a project to study the food web dynamics of subtidal eelgrass meadows of San Quintin bay (Baja California). I completed a posdoctoral position at El Colegio de la Frontera Sur (ECOSUR) in Chetumal, where I studied the ecology of coral reefs in the southern Mexican Caribbean coast. At the moment I am collaborator for the ONG Geomare in Ensenada, where I am continuing previous research on the ecology of eelgrass meadows of San Quintin bay.
