Reproduction underlies the survival and evolution of all lifeforms on earth. Gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (GnRH) neurones of the hypothalamus are key neuroendocrine effectors driving the hypothalamo-pituitary gonadal axis that regulates reproductive processes from puberty to menopause. GnRH neurones, in turn, are regulated by complex interactions between neuropeptide signalling systems and distal innervation. My research aims to untangle these interactions through targeted neuropharmacology. Outside of the lab, I am an aspiring musician, currently sessioning for a variety of London-based unsigned rock bands, although my favourite way to relax is to go on adventures in remote parts of the world, which I traverse exclusively by motorcycle.
