About

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow specialising in single molecule spectroscopy, in particular the study of biopolymers and semiconducting conjugated polymers. My research background covers nano-optics, quantum-optics, microscopy, semiconductors and biophotonics. I have used these skills in the study of self-assembled quantum dots, superconducting single photon detectors, super resolution imaging, cellular imaging and particle tracking. I have a strong interest in biophotonics and interdisciplinary science and work at the interface between physics, chemistry and biology. My career commitment is to become an independent researcher and group leader at the forefront of the physical and life sciences interface, applying advanced physical and optical techniques to the study of the biological world.
