About

Paul Foeckler is one of the Mendeley founders working on product, tech and business related aspects of the company. Together with his co-founders Paul won the Best Startup Founder award at The Europas in January 2013 before the company was acquired by Elsevier in April of the same year.
Paul graduated from the Bauhaus-University Weimar in September 2006 studying Computer Science / Media System Science. In his final year Paul won the best paper award at the International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing with his publication on object recognition in the context of mobile museum guidance. The application he developed as part of his publication received nationwide attention and was showcased in some of the largest museums in Germany.
