    About

Applauded for her sharp wit and spontaneity, Paula Poundstone is touring the country, raising the endorphin levels of ticket holders across the United States with her standup comedy. Every show is different as she wryly mixes her brilliant observational standup comedy with her interaction with people in the crowd, often making the conversation so hilarious that audience members leave wondering whether the random people Paula Poundstone talks to were plants. They never are. Paula Poundstone is also one of the funniest voices on radio. You can hear her through your laughter as a regular panelist on the Peabody Award-winning radio show Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me, which airs weekly on NPR. On the show Paula Poundstone gets to match wits with some of the greatest pundits of our time. The show is currently the #1 show on NPR. Paula Poundstone maintains a gender-neutral point of view in her material and has established herself as a leading comedian and humorist. She not only broke thru the glass ceiling of the 80’s and 90’s, she never even acknowledged that it was there: In 1992, Poundstone gave the first standup performance by a woman at the White House Correspondents’ dinner. Additionally, she is the first female recipient of the CableACE Award for Best Standup Comedy Special. On April Fools Day, 2013, Paula Poundstone released a recording of her show at the historic Wilbur Theatre in Boston titled “I HEART JOKES: Paula Tells Them in Boston.” The CD follows the first I HEART JOKES CD, recorded at the Stone Mt. Arts Center in Maine. For more information on purchasing her products, as well as links to her Facebook and Twitter pages, visit paulapoundstone.com.
