Pedro Martins (1974). He is graduated in Medicine and doctorate in Pathophysiology. Presently, he is Assistant Professor of Pathophysiology and Chair of the Allergy Course Unit at Nova Medical School (FCM), Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He works also as Allergy Consultant at the main Lisbon paediatrics’ hospital (Hospital de Dona Estefânia, Lisbon, Portugal). He is assistant secretary-general of the Portuguese Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and member of the Portuguese Allergy College (National Association of Medical Specialists). He attended courses on epidemiology and biostatistics and is member of CEDOC (Chronic Diseases Research Center, the investigation unit of Nova Medical School). During his career, he participated in the design and execution of different projects on chronic respiratory diseases and air pollution in Portugal (as SAUDAR, ENVIRH, INSPIRAR, GERIA) and in Africa.
