About

PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology by ISCTE - Lisbon University Institute. I am currently an Assistant Professor with the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, Lisbon, and the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, Portimão, Portugal. I am also an Invited Professor with the Universidad de San Buenaventura, Medellin, Colombia, and the Universidad de la Costa, Barranquilla, Colombia. I am part of the Grupo Internacional de Investigación Neuro-Conductual and a Researcher with the Association for Research and Development in Cognitive and People-Centric Computing. I am also the Coordinator of the Experimental Psychology Lab at ISMAT. My current research interests include the study of attentional and emotional processes to visual and auditory stimuli through eye tracking and psychophysiological recording. I am the mentor of the International Conference on Eye Tracking, Visual Cognition, and Emotion, in Portugal, and the founder of the First Meeting of Cognitive Oculometry, in Portugal, in 2015. I have been working in eye tracking methodology since 2008 and I have conducted several eye tracking training courses in Portugal and abroad. As a result of my interest in eye tracking I have published several articles and book chapters with respect to attention, emotion and eye tracking. I am also methodological Advisor at Psico&Soma and Statistical Consultant at EuroTrials-Scientific Consultants.
