Philipp Neubauer is a state-certified translator and interpreter for German and English specialized in business, finance and economics (Fremdspracheninstitut München). He has a masters degree in translating and a PhD in modern languages from the University of Salford. He currently works a a freelance translator and interpreter.
Research interests include academic translation for and the terminology of the social sciences and (digital) humanities, functionalist, cognitive and process-oriented translation theory, translation technology and language resources, language & knowledge engineering, discourse analysis, intercultural communication, practical and data-driven approaches to the history of ideas, systemics, philosophy, terminology and lexicography in general.
