Pratik Shukla is a determined and a pro-active researcher/ scientist/ engineer. He has obtained a PhD in laser surface treatment of engineering ceramics from Loughborough University (Jan 2011) and has published 13 journal and 4 conference publications. Coventry University has awarded him a BEng (Hons) sandwich degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering (2006) and an MSc by research in laser surface treatment of ceramics (2007). Previously, he has professional work experience in laser aided material processing with the advanced joining centre (ERDF, LAMP project), Coventry University, (2005) and in aerospace/ industrial turbine blade manufacturing with AETC Ltd, PCC Group of Co. Ltd (2008). Pratik has a comprehensive skill-set, underpinned by experience and is a committed team player with leadership ability, who uses high standards of communication to establish positive interpersonal relationship and holds keen interest in application of industrial lasers.
