Masters in Geography (university of Kerala), M.Tech in Remote Sensing (Bharathidasan University). 18 years of corporate\academic experience in Geoinformatics. Working as Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management – Kerala (An institute established by Government of Kerala, India) for the last 7 years. Course Coordinator\faculty of M.Sc Geoinformatics. Has been PI for several Central\State sponsored projects. Conducted several short training programs in Geoinformatics. Designed and Developed an Open Access, scalable Web GIS framework using Open Source Technologies, which is being currently used by ICAR and Kerala State Planning Board. Guided academic projects (M.Tech, B.Tech and MCA). Spearheaded setting up of an advanced and state-of-the-art Geoinformatics Lab in the institute. Published several papers in journals\conferences.
Developed an Open Web GIS technology framework for integrating dynamic geo-information as part of National Agricultural Innovation Project, teaming up with ICRISAT. This involved two applications; Web GIS based soil micro nutrient information and Web BIS based dynamic weather information for Karnataka.
