dr. Raffaele Filieri is a lecturer at Northumbria University - Newcastle Business School. He has a PhD in Business Engineering from 'Università Roma Tre' with a thesis based on the analysis of knowledge sharing barriers in a large automotive R&D supplier.
Prior to joining this position Raffaele has worked as a lecturer in marketing at 'Kemmy Business School', Department of Marketing and Management, University of Limerick and for 6 years in Italy at 'La Sapienza' Università di Roma, where he has also got his post-doc.
Dr. Filieri has been a visiting Phd at Euro-Mediterranean incubator in e-Business Management, Università del Salento where he has been involved in several research projects.
Raffaele has also collaborated as consultant and business analyst for primary consulting agencies and worked in the private sector in different areas (e.g., sales, instructor)
Raffaele has several research interests: strategic management (social capital, intra and inter-firm knowledge sharing, innovation); online marketing (e-word of mouth); consumer co-creation and innovation; knowledge management (knowledge management systems, knowledge sharing, knowledge retrieval, knowledge reuse).
His actual publications include the book: 'Overcoming knowledge sharing barriers through communities of practice', book chapters (Cambridge University Press, IGI Global Publishing), and his research in the following peer reviewed journals: Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Business Strategy, Marketing Intelligence & Planning. Moreover, he has presented several papers in peer reviewed conferences (e.g Emac, Academy of Marketing, Marketing Science).
