Dr. Raliya’s research is in the area of the nanoparticle technology. With expertise in advanced functional nanomaterial synthesis using biological, chemical and aerosol route, he is interested in the use of nanomaterials in fields like biomedical engineering and plant science. He is also interested in addressing the long-term consequences of nanoparticles on human health. He is currently a research scientist at the Nano Research Facility, Department of Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis, USA (http://www.aerosols.wustl.edu/aaqrl/). Before this, he was a research associate at the National Agriculture Innovation Project of Nanotechnology at Central Arid Zone Research Institute (http://www.cazri.res.in/), Jodhpur (An institute of Indian Council of Agriculture Research, Government of India; http://www.icar.org.in/). Dr. Raliya has an interdisciplinary academic and research background. He earned his bachelor's in Bioscience and Masters in Biotechnology from the Department of Botany, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur (http://www.jnvu.edu.in/). He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the same university while doing research in nanotechnology at Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur, India.
