Rexter Retana is the BIM Manager for RSP Architects Planners & Engineers Pte Ltd (Singapore) with strong background in civil and structural engineering. He plays a strategic role in the development and implementation of BIM in RSP working across both the architectural and structural departments. He is actively involved in spreading BIM awareness across the region as primary author and invited speaker in conferences like RTC Asia, Autodesk University, International Congress of Architectural Technology, contributing member of BCA’s Civil & Structural BIM Manager’s Workgroup and co-founded the BIM Exchange User Group Singapore. Rexter is a Member of the Structural Engineering Institute and Associate Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Phil) and a Masters of Science in BIM Management with First Class Honors (UK). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate study in the application of Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Computing and Big Data Analytics in Construction
