About

Being graduated from high school with a diploma in math and physics, I pursued my academic studies in Computer Engineering Department of Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran. I was soon captivated by the attractive aspects of computer networks and decided to continue my studies in the field of computer networking. In 2007, I accomplished to achieve the highest rank in national university entrance exam in graduate level, hence I was admitted for my MS.c to Sharif University of Technology's Computer and Information Technology Department. I became interested in network security, network modeling, P2P networks and specially video streaming on P2P networks, and I did my thesis on the design of a new P2P streaming protocol in Digital Media Lab under supervision of Prof. Hamid Reza Rabiee. In fall 2010, I became a Ph.D. candidate in University of Oregon and my research is mostly focused on network architecture and analysis and modeling and measurements of large networks. Currently I work in Mirage Lab at the UO and my research advisor is Prof. Reza Rejaie.
