Ricardo Pineda, the former senior director of test engineering and new product introduction for Aliph, has impacted the personal technology market as the developer and distributor of the Jawbone Bluetooth headset. Ricardo Pineda accepted this position in late 2008, following a long-term tenure with Plantronics Inc., where he spearheaded a number of process-redevelopment initiatives across global markets.
Serving in numerous capacities, ranging from quality engineer to senior director of global manufacturing engineering, Ricardo Pineda led several product-introduction processes. Responsible for establishing Plantronics’ operations in Suzhou, China, he supervised construction of an environmentally friendly facility that was the first to receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. He remains an accomplished product-development executive and to date has played a key role in product launches for both Aquent and Monster Cable Products. Currently the vice president of Monster Cable Product's global supply chain, he has driven improvements in the sales and marketing process, including more effective strategic planning, inventory management, and brand development.
