Riccardo Vitelli graduated in Control Engineering in 2008 at the university of Rome Tor Vergata. In 2007-2009 he spent about two years in the Plasma Position and Current Control (PPCC) department at the experimental fusion plant JET (Joint European Torus) in Oxford, UK, where he collaborated in particular in the implementation of a realtime controller framework named MARTe. Since november 2008 he is following a PhD course in Control Engineering at the university of Rome Tor Vergata. His main research interests include nonlinear control systems for nuclear fusion experiments and realtime operating systems.
