About

Professor Moore is in the School of Science, RMIT University, Melbourne Australia. Before joining RMIT University he was a Principal Research Scientist and Team Leader at the Australian Animal Health Laboratory, Geelong, within the CSIRO Biosecurity Flagship. He has an adjunct Professor appointment in the Microbiology Department of the Monash University Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, and is a Project Leader within the Poultry Cooperative Research Centre. Dr Moore has previously worked for an international animal health company and had two post-doctoral positions in the UK. He obtained his PhD from Monash University. Dr Moore has published more than 100 primary manuscripts, is a named inventor on 9 families of patents and has a current H-index of 32. He has supervised 10 PhD students to completion and is currently supervising 6 higher degree students. In the last 15 years he has been a principal investigator on grants totalling more than $8 million. He has been on the organizing committees of many national and international conferences, has reviewed manuscripts for over 30 journals and has reviewed grants for a wide range of local and international granting agencies.
