About

Born and raised in New York, trained in archaeology in the Southwestern US and Costa Rica, I am currently back, living in New York, teaching classes at Hunter College and working as a consultant for HDR inc. I recently defended my dissertation in July 2015. It is an analysis of data from excavations I conducted at a Southern Costa Rican Formative Period socio-ceremonial site known as El Cholo and deals with the issues such as site formation, site-classification and the processes underlying the development of hierarchy and political power in the region.
