About

I completed my undergraduate training at the Manipal Institute of Technology, India, where I was first exposed to research in Medical Imaging Processing. Before moving to US for graduate studies, I spent close to 18 months at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore working in the field of Optics based Signal Processing. I joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester, in 2011 as a doctoral candidate. My doctoral dissertation was focussed on developing beamforming and strain estimation strategies for translational carotid artery elastograhic imaging. I received my doctoral degree in March, 2017. During my PhD I also received the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Med-into-grad fellowship in 2015, which enabled me to receive rigorous training in translational research. After my PhD, I joined the Department of Radiology, at the Mayo Clinic for my post-doctoral research in ultrasound imaging.
