My name is Rory McPherson, and I’m an American/Kiwi currently based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I’m a Master’s student in the Geographic Information Science Programme (MGIS) at The University of Canterbury, and plan to finish my degree by the end of 2015. I received my BSc in Geography with an emphasis in Geographic Information Science from The University of Arizona, in Tucson, AZ (USA).
I’m very passionate about technology and GIS, and have always had a fascination with geography and maps. I also enjoy understanding how spatial information can be represented and applied to make intelligent decisions.
