About

Dr. Rory Sie is a lecturer in ICT at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands. Originating from Amsterdam, he studied artificial intelligence at the Free University of Amsterdam. In 2012 he completed his PhD in technology-enhanced learning at the Open University in the Netherlands. His research interests many comprise social network analysis and user profiling. This encompasses the use sentiment analysis, social media analysis and recommender techniques to aggregate user data to build user profiles. Practical application areas include (networked) learning, innovation, teacher development, networked open innovation. Hobbies include indoor soccer, pastry, chocolate, and fermented foods (see my website for pictures).
