I obtained my PhD in Optoelectronics whilst researching the applications of scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) to measuring optical properties waveguides. I now work in the Terahertz (THz) group where I am researching novel semiconductor antennas at THz frequencies and applications of Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCLs) for THz amplification.
