About

I attended the Physics program at the University of Padova, obtaining my master degree on October 2008. My thesis advisor was professor Amos Maritan, and the title of my thesis was "stochastic modelling of ecosystem dynamics". On November 2008 I started my Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering at Ecole Polytechnique Fedérale de Lausanne (EPFL) under the supervision of professor Andrea Rinaldo. Within my Ph.D. I have also spent 8 month in Princeton University of a research collaboration with professor Ignatio Rodriguez-Iturbe. I obtained my Ph.D. degree on November 2012 with a thesis entitled "Eco-hydrological footprints: Quantitative Response of Ecosystems to Changes in their Hydrological Drivers. I had a two year Post Doc contract at the University of Padova collaborating with professor Amos Maritan at the LIPh lab od Interdisciplinary Physics. Now, I'm still at the Physics Department in Padova funded from the grant "Young Scholar Excellent Program" and still working con Statistical Physics of living systems.
