I am a Senior Lecturer and researcher in materials engineering working in the Department of Engineering. My main research and teaching topics: Sustainable Construction and Materials, Sustainable rehabilitation/renovation, Biomimetic and bioinspired materials, Materials characterisation, Waste management, recycling and valorisation. I have a strong focus into fundamental research, though always with an emphasis in knowledge transfer from academia to industry.
