About

Most of my research has focused on perceived intelligence, the attractiveness halo, and individual differences that may influence these perceptions (watch TEDx talk here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay9cf8X9N4Q). I also have a deep interest in relating my research back to the classroom by examining expectancy effects, academic performance, intelligence, and variables which influence academic performance (e.g. grit, locus of control, theories of intelligence etc.). My current research is focused on the role of fitness, sleep, stress, diet, and illness on perceptions of health and intelligence. Further to this, I look forward to exploring individual differences in sport and academic performance. keep up-to-date with my blogs, publications, and press/media coverage of our work on my personal website at www.seantalamas.com
