About

I received my PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Fall of 2008. Subsequently, I completed postdoctoral stints at the Leroy Eyring Center of Solid State Science at Arizona State University and in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The research projects that I was involved in ranged from growing carbon nanotubes from catalysts fabricated in situ in an environmental TEM to studying corrosion processes using liquid cell TEM. Currently, I am with the Center for BioImaging Sciences at the National University of Singapore. My research interests include the characterization of nanomaterials using TEM, in situ techniques for studying materials in gases and liquids, and nanofabrication using charged particle beams.
