Prof. Dr. Shaofeng Jia is the Deputy Director of the Center for Water Resources Research(CWRR), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) and the Chair of Water&Land Resources Deaprtment, Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research(IGSNRR), CAS. His main interests include water resources management and sustainable development, involving broad resarch fields of populaition, resources, envelopment and economic development, focusing on the integrated cross-disciplinary resaerch.He has taken part in more than 50 research projects and been PI for 30 projects funded by The Ministry of Sciences and Technology of China, The Ministry of Water Resources of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other national and local government department. He has coauthored more than 100 papers and 4 books. Recently he is specially intersted in water resources security and grain production potentiality and security under changing environment.
