About

AMM Sharif Ullah was born and raised in Bangladesh. He is now a full-time faculty member ranking Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kitami Institute of Technology and directs its Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory. He graduated Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 1992 with a BSME degree and Kansai University with both MSME and PhD degrees in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He worked as a full-time faculty member at Asian Institute of Technology (2000-2002, Assistant Professor), United Arab Emirates University (2002-2006, Assistant Professor, 2006-2009, Associate Professor). He has mentored more than 100 undergraduate/graduate students coming from numerous countries. He researches knowledge-based systems for product realization engineering putting emphasis on creativity, design, manufacturing, operations, sustainability, and systems, and has published more than 100 technical articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals, edited books, and international conference proceedings. He now serves the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed international journals.
