Simon Kay joined the FOREST action in Nov 2011 as a research scientist, focussed on mapping EU forest and forest attributes. He holds a Geography BA (1985), Remote Sensing MSc (1987)and Geography PhD (specialised in airborne remote sensing monitoring of farm land, 1989), all from University College London. Professional experience: since 1990, has worked in a wide range of environmental and agricultural applications throughout Europe as well as in Africa and the Middle East.
