Thesis Title:: "Inorganic scintillators for radiation detection: high pressure and low temperature investigations". Thesis work on inorganic oxide and halide single-crystal scintillators for radiation detection. Special focus on the characterization of and relationship between: light output, crystallographic, electronic, and mechanical properties at cryogenic temperatures and high pressures. Ph.D. Oral Defense passed. Graduation expected Summer 2013.
