Dr Stephen Wright is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biostatistics at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), Australia. He is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. Stephen is interested in how longitudinal observational data (or administrative data) might be used to answer causal-relationship type questions, particularly where the analogous randomised experiment is infeasible or unethical. As prediction modelling techniques improve, coupled with observational ’big-data’ analyses, Stephen is interested to know if we are getting any better at answering causal-type questions? Stephen research interests include: + observational cohort studies + longitudinal analysis methods + prediction analysis + causal methods + data visualisation and exploratory data analysis
