    About

Stephnie Thomas, MS, NCC, LCPC, specializes in coming alongside clients who experience overwhelming anxiety in everyday life situations and helping them learn new ways to approach and defuse the anxiety they experience.  She works with clients with a wide range of problems, including Panic Disorder, Specific Phobias (such as fear of flying), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Hoarding, PTSD, Depression, interpersonal issues, and other life challenges. Her therapeutic modality primarily utilizes various empirically proven Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques.  Stephnie believes the therapy process is a collaborative experiential process in which client and therapist agree to work together on concrete treatment goals by exploring what it is the client values.  As a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland’s Pastoral Counseling program, Stephnie has both the Pastoral and Clinical training to address spiritual/religious values that may be important to clients and impact the therapy process.
