In 2008, Stewart Strawbridge founded Selkirk Partners, a fund with the objective of securing long-term, risk-adjusted returns. He currently serves as managing member, maintaining responsibility for stock selection and risk management. He also acts as the voice of the company, marketing and managing relations with third-party vendors. Stewart Strawbridge enjoys challenging the standard investment thesis and seeks to capitalize on market trends and investment tendencies, including fixation on short-term results and basic valuation metrics. He possesses more than a decade of experience in fund allocation to hedge funds and private equity.
In addition to his work with Selkirk Partners, Stewart Strawbridge is involved in charitable efforts. Most recently, he and his wife raised more than $60,000 to help provide children in Uganda with life-saving surgeries. The event, held in September 2013, was called Cure Hydrocephalus. Strawbridge, his wife, and their two children currently live in South Portland, Maine, where they engage in many outdoor activities.
