I am a Master student in Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience at the University of Sussex. I did my Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology at Anna University (SVCE) in India, where I got a first class degree. My current research is on developmental neurobiology, specifically the post translational regulation of Hox genes in the developing Drosophila CNS. I am particularly interested in studying plasticity and neurodegeneration in simple models like Drosophila. I am currently looking for a PhD in this area of research. I am experienced in basic and advanced molecular and genetic techniques, Drosophila embryogenesis and maintenance, dissection and microscopy. I want to continue using these techniques and explore neuroscience and the complexity of the human brain.
